This Mother Has No Idea That Her Baby Survived The Abortion - 30 Years Later, They Meet Face To Face

Abortion takes many forms, including miscarriage, miscarriage, induced abortion or abortion (abortion), and abortion, which is abortion induced, but medical reasons.

For example, women who wish to have abortions must do so within a specified timeframe, from the beginning of pregnancy to 12 weeks of pregnancy. There are two methods of abortion including the drug, which takes up to 5 weeks and the surgical, which is possible until the 12th week of pregnancy.

Unsuccessful abortions

Although these methods have evolved over time, it still happens today that abortions are missed. A failed abortion refers to the fact that the pregnancy progresses despite the termination of pregnancy or that residues of the pregnancy remain nevertheless in the uterus of the woman. In the case of an aspiration IVG, several reasons explain this failure as an insufficient aspiration or carried out too early. In addition, it may be related to a malformation of the female genital system or an undetected multiple pregnancy. But, generally, a failed abortion is mainly due to the fact that the ultrasound control, normally performed within 7 to 15 days after the intervention, was poorly achieved.

Several major consequences are then visible including the progressive pregnancy, the risk of potentially serious infection, the survival of the baby directly after the abortion or fetal malformations. Moreover, in case of survival of the baby following the abortion, the mother is not always aware as was the case of this mother ... Discover her story!

The story of Mélissa Ohden, a baby born after an abortion

The mother of Melissa Odhen had an abortion at 31 weeks of pregnancy using a saline infusion, which aims to poison the baby. For five days, she received this infusion and at the time of giving birth to the baby died in utero, the abortionist advised the patient not to look at the child because it would be shocking. However, what she did not know was that the child was in fact still alive and she left the hospital without knowing it.

However, her baby was still alive, it was Melissa Ohden. She explained her story to the press by stating that there was a closet in the hospital where there were buckets of formaldehyde where the medical staff placed the children in abortions, whether live or not. Thus, even the surviving children were in these buckets and let them die. But, Melissa was lucky enough to find two nurses who decided to save her.

They took her directly to medical care because she had severe breathing and liver problems. The doctors thought that Melissa was not going to survive, but finally she remained alive, without any medical complications or disabilities.

Thereafter, at the age of five, Melissa was adopted and she grew up knowing its adoption. It was only in adolescence that she finally discovered the circumstances of her birth. She suffered from being a survivor of an abortion because she did not feel wanted.

After a while and after many years of misery, she decided to forgive her mother. For this, she went in search of her biological parents. Her father was already dead when she wanted to contact him, but her mother was still alive.

After many tries to meet her, she finally managed to do it and she would remember forever. Melissa found all the pain this mother felt when she learned that her daughter had survived. In addition, Melissa's mother explained to her that it was a forced abortion by her parents, who even falsified the young mother's signature for the consent forms.

Mélissa wished to share her story through a book, "You Carried Me: A Daughter's Memoir", to inform and educate people about failed abortions and to provide support to abortion survivors.
